My current research interests are in body fluid metabolomics in chronic kidney (CKD) progression. As an Early Stage Researcher (ESR) on the Marie Curie iMODE-CKD project, I am investigating potential biomarkers in both blood plasma and urine in a cohort study of patients with various stages of CKD.
My aims are to generate a metabolic master map from body fluid samples using ICR-FT/MS and selected NMR analyses. I will also aim to identify potential novel bio-markers and confirm previously reported ones. As part of an overall –omics investigation into CKD I hope to collaborate with my fellow ESR’s to provide a more comprehensive study of the disease and is adverse effect on the human body.
My personal interests are in mountaineering, rock climbing, and outdoor recreation.
